Reservoir at Eden Park - Cincinnati Ohio
In 1904 you see Cincinnatirsquo;s, Samuel Hannaford designed, Eden Park Reservoir. The reservoir and pump house in the distance were but ten years old when this picture was taken. 1894 was a significant time in Eden Park history. Many of todayrsquo;s existing structures in the park were built during that year. Unfortunately, the 'powers that be' decided to destroy another of Cincinnati's magnificent architectural wonders. In the 1950s, halfway through the demolition of this beautiful reservoir, work was halted as the cost became too great. Today, as a result, we have classic ruins as a reminder of our architectural past. The old pump house may soon see new life as a winery and cafeacute; while the ruins of the reservoir itself are used by rock climbers on a daily basis.
